Answer:

volume of sphere = volume of cylinder

4/3 πr ^3 = πr^2h

4/3* 22/7* 2.1^3 = 22/7*3^2*h

38.808 = 28.28h

now,..., h = 38.808/28.28

h = 1.37 cm..

The height of cylinder is 1.372 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Radius of sphere = 2.1 cm

It recast into the shape of a cylinder

Radius of cylinder = 3 cm

So, volume of cylinder = Volume of sphere

\dfrac{4}{3}\pi r_1^3=\pi r_2^2h\\\\\dfrac{4}{3}\times 2.1\times 2.1\times 2.1=3\times 3\times h\\\\4\times 0.7\times 2.1\times 2.1=9h\\\\\dfrac{4\times 0.7\times 2.1\times 2.1}{9}=h\\\\h=1.372\ cm

Hence, the height of cylinder is 1.372 cm.
