a metre of stick dropped a shadow of length 70 cm in the sun.At the same time, a tree dropped a shadow 5.6 cm metre long. What is the height of the tree

according to question,

if 100 cm produces shadow of 70 cm 

then  x cm will produce shadow of 5.6 cm

by cross multiplication , we get ,

x = (5.6*100)/70
   =  560 / 70
   =  8 cm

therefore , the height of tree is 8 cm .
