Solution:

No. of passengers who were on board at first = 150 passengers

No. of passengers who got off the train at Station A = 2/5 of 150

= \mathtt{\dfrac{2}{5}\times{150}}

= 60 passengers

No. of people who boarded the train at Station A = 35 passengers

No. of passengers in the train now = (150 - 60) + 35

= 90 + 35

= 125

Therefore the no. of passengers in the train when it left Station A is 125.

→ The no. of people that are present now in the train decreased by 25 [150-125].
