A Midsummer-Night Dream:-

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" is comedy written by Shakespeare. It is a play with the boundary between illusion and reality.

Theseus, duke of Athens, after conquering the warrior Amazons in battle, gets overwhelmed by the charms of their queen Hippolyta. They plan to marry which takes place in four days.To make it fast,he orders amusements to be staged.All the preparations are interrupted by Egeus.Egeus enters with his daughter, Hermia, and her two suitors, Lysander and Demetrius. Hermia is in love with Lysander, but her father wants Hermia to marry Demetrius.He blackmails her that if  Hermia won’t marry Demetrius, she will die. So,Lysander and Hermia decide to escape to Athens. Helena is the sweetheart of Demeterius. Hermia and Lysander tell Helena about their plan to fly to other country. To win his love back,Helena tries to tell Demetrius about this plan.

          In the forest,Fairy Queen Titania and Fairy King Oberon are at odds as Titania refuses to give Oberon custody of the Indian boy she is raising. Oberon sends Puck(his trouble-making jester) to find a plant called love-in-idleness.The juice makes any person dote on the next creature he or she sees after they woke up.

              Oberon pities on Helena on seeing the terrible way Demetrius treats her.He instructs Puck to put some love juice in Demetrius’ eyes so that he falls in love with Helena if she is he sees upon waking. But considering Lysander as Demetrius, Puck puts love juice in Lysander’s eyes. So when Helena wanders past and awakens the sleeping Lysander,he right away falls in love with her.

          Oberon puts the love juice in titania's eyes when she is asleep.Bottom had to rehearsal their play the the same enchanted place of the forest.Bottom wakes up titania and she immediately falls in love with him. As titania has fallen for Bottom,she releases Oberon.Oberon’s plan is now complete so he releases her from the spell and has Puck remove the donkey-head from Bottom.

         Now,both Lysander and Demetrius are in love with Helena.So as he knows their will be a serious fight between both of them,he casts a spell so that none of the couples will remember what has happened in the woods. And at last ,the two couples reconcile and marry.
