1) there are fairies in the wood because it was their best place to conduct midnight revelations and celebrations.

2) there is a quarrel between oberon and titania because titania refuses to give Oberon the changeling boy which she stole from the nurse after the boy's mother's death, Oberon wanted to make him his page

3)Oberon tells puck to bring the love flower known as 'love in idleness', so that he will drop a love juice in the eyes of titiania when she will be sleeping in order to gain the changeling boy, and Oberon also told puck to find Demetrius and pour love juice on him as well.

4) as both Lysander and Demetrius were Athenian they both wore the same kind of attire and thus puck gets confused between Lysander and Demetrius and pours the love juice on Lysander instead of Demetrius, and when Lysander wakes he sees helena and falls in love with her immediately forgetting his love for hernia

hope this helps
