 \bold { \red{EXPLAINATION:}}

GIVEN:

A migrating bird can travel at the speed of 30 m/s

TO FIND:

How far it will travel in 25 minutes at 30 m/s

SOLUTION:

Converting minutes into seconds

 \implies { \mathtt{1  \: minutes =60 sec }}

 \implies \therefore { \mathtt{25  \: minutes = 25 × 60 sec }}

 \implies \therefore { \mathtt{25  \: minutes = 1500 \: sec }}

Distance traveled in 25 minutes,

As we know,

{ \mathtt{speed =  \frac{distance}{time}}} \\

 \therefore { \mathtt{distance = speed \times time}}

 \therefore { \mathtt{distance  = 30 \times 1500}}

 \therefore \:{ \mathtt{ distance = 45000 \: m}}

As 1000 metres = 1 kilometres

 \therefore \: { \mathtt{45000  \:m  = 45 \: km}}

Therefore,

A migrating bird can travel 45000 m or 45 km in 25 minutes
