A milk boy sold Milk in packets of 250ml and 500ml. He sold 6L of milk 17 packests. How many packets of each type did he sell?

and number of 500 ml packets = l

Hence, 250s +500l = 6000

or, s + 2l = 24

and, s + l = 17

subtracting,

2l +s - s - l = 24 - 17
