Answer:

The answer is Rs960

Step-by-step explanation:

if he sell 126 litre of milk @40rupee

he will get (126*40) = RS5040

After adding water in it ( the quantity of water is equal to quantity of the milk, he drawn from it) he will sell the milk at the same rate

As the ratio of the milk aind water now is 17:4

Let the required amount be x

so, 17x + 4x =21x=5040

x= 240

milk amount 17x=17*240=Rs 4080

water amount 4x= 4*240=Rs 960

He will also sell the milk that he drawn from it

he will get Rs 960

His total income will now(4080+960+960)= 6000.

His expenditure was Rs 5040 His income is Rs 6000

Now his profit is (6000- 5040) =Rs960
