We know that,
1000ml = 1 l
So,
➡ 400 ml = 400/1000 = 0•4 l
➡ 25 ml = 25/1000 = 0•025 l
➡ 450 ml = 450/1000 = 0•45 l
Quantity of Milk that milkman has = 25 l and 400ml
=> (25+ 0•4) l = 25•4 l
Quantity of milk given to first customer =
10 L and 25 ml
=> ( 10+ 0•025 ) = 10•025 L
Quantity of milk given to second customer = 6 L and 450 ml
=> ( 6+ 0•45) 6•45 L
Milk left with milkman = Total quantity of milk -( sum of quantity of milk given to customers )
➡ 25•40 - ( 10•025 + 6•45 )
➡ 25•40 - ( 16•475 )
➡ 8•925 L.
Required answer is :-
Quantity of milk left with milkman = 8•925 L.
