volume of cylinder=2*pie*r*h
=2*22/7*15/10*7
=6600 cube m

1 metre cube=1000 litres
6600m cube= 6600*1000
=6600000 litres

Question :-

A milk tank is in the form of a cylinder whose radius is 1.5 m and length is 7 m. Find the quantity of milk in litres that can be stored in the tank.

Given :-

  • Milk tank is in cylinder shape.

  • Radius = 1.5m

  • Length = 7m

To find :-

  • Quantity of milk.

  • Quantity should be in litres

Formula used :-

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: volume = \pi  {r}^{2}h

Solution :-

Here,

  • r = 1.5 m
  • h = 7 m

.’. Volume of the milk tank = {\pi{r}^{2}h}

⠀⠀= 227 × 1.5 × 1.5 × 7

⠀⠀= 22 × 2.25

⠀⠀= 49.50 {m}^{3}

Volume of milk in litres = 49.50 × 1000 L

(∵ 1 {m}^{3} = 1000 litres)

⠀⠀= 49500 L

Hence, the required volume = 49500 L.
