A milk tank is in the form of cylinder whose radius is 1.5 m and length is 7m. Find the quantity of milk in litres that can be stored in the tank?

Given

Radius of cylindrical tank (r) =1.5m

Length - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (h) =7m

Quantity of milk (volume of cylinder) =
\pi \: {r}^{2} h

=22/7 x (1.5)²x7

=22x1.5²

=22x2.25

=49.5m³

As we know 1m³=1000 litres

So volume of milk in litres =49.5x1000

=49500 litres

volume of cylinder=πr^2h
=22/7×1.5×1.5×7
=22×2.25
=49.50m^3
1m^3=1000litre
so 49.50m^3=495000litre
quantity= 495000 litre
