Question :-

A milk tank is in the form of cylinder whose radius is 1.5 m and length is 7 m. Find the quantity of milk in litres that can be stored in the tank.

Answer :-

It is given that the milk tank is in the form of a cylinder whose radius is 1.5m and length is 7m.

It is clear that Length of milk tank = height of the cylinder

Now,

Radius of the cylinder = 1.5 m and height of the cylinder = 7 m

We know that the volume of the cylinder = πr2h. Therefore, volume of the milk tank is:

 \pi {r}^{2}h \: = \frac{22}{7} \times {1.5}^{2} \times 7 = 22 \times 2.25 = 49.5 {m}^{3} \\ we \: know\: that, \\ 1 {m}^{3} = 1000 \: liters \\ so, \\ 49.5 {m}^{3} = 49500 \: liters

Hence, 49,500 liters of milk can be stored in the tank.

Hope this is helpful for you.
