r=1.5m
h=7m
hence,
quantity or volume=πr²h
=22/7×1.5×7
=22×1.5
=33m³
1 m³=1000 litres
then, 33m³=33×1000=33000litres

Question:-

A milk tank is in the form of cylinder whose radius is 1.5m and length is 7m. find the quantity of milk in litres that can be stored in the tank ?

Concept:-

Here we have given that A milk tank is in the form of cylinder whose radius is 1.5m and length is 7m.We have to Find the quantity of milk in litres that can be stored in the tank.We know that the voulume of cylinder is πr²h.

Let's Solve!

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Given:-

Radius of milk tank = 1.5m

Length of milk tank = 7m

To Find:-

The milk in litres that can be stored in the tank.

Diagram:-

\setlength{\unitlength}{1mm}\begin{picture}(5,5)\thicklines\multiput(-0.5,-1)(26,0){2}{\line(0,1){40}}\multiput(12.5,-1)(0,3.2){13}{\line(0,1){1.6}}\multiput(12.5,-1)(0,40){2}{\multiput(0,0)(2,0){7}{\line(1,0){1}}}\multiput(0,0)(0,40){2}{\qbezier(1,0)(12,3)(24,0)\qbezier(1,0)(-2,-1)(1,-2)\qbezier(24,0)(27,-1)(24,-2)\qbezier(1,-2)(12,-5)(24,-2)}\multiput(18,2)(0,32){2}{\sf{1.5m}}\put(6,17.5){\sf{7m}}\put(40,0){@WaterPearl}\end{picture}

Solution:-

Volume of the milk tank = πr²h

→ 22/7 × (1.5m)² × 7m

→ 22 × 2.25 m² × m

→ 49.5 m²

Now,

1 m³ = 1000 litres

→ 49.5 m²

→ 49,500 litres.

Hence,49,500 litres of milk can be stored in the tank.
