Answer:4.5 litre and 10.5litre

Step-by-step explanation:

Total milk=15 litre

Let he bought x litre at Rs12/litre.

And (15-x) litre at Rs 14 per litre.

SP per litre =Rs 15/litre

Gain%=12%

Total CP=Rs{12×x+14(15-x)}

=Rs{12x+210-14x) = Rs (210-2x)

Total SP=15×15=Rs 225

Gain= SP-CP

=Rs{225-(210-2x)}=Rs(15+2x)

Now, gain%=(gain/CP)×100%

12={(15+2x)/(210-2x)}×100

Or,12(210-2x)=100(15+2x)

Or,2520-24x=1500+200x

Or,2520-1500=224x

Or,1020=224x

Or, x=1020/224=4.553litre

Now (15-x)=(15-4.553) litre=10.446litre

Hence he bought 4.5 litre at Rs12/ litre and 10.5 litre at Rs 14/litre
