11 litres can be mixed with  2 litres of water

hence, 1 litre can be mixed with 2/11

and 13 litres can be mixed with =  2*13/11 = 2.36 litres.

The amount of milk required if he wants to add 13 liters of water to it is 71.5 liter.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A milkman mixes 2 liters of water in 11 liters of milk.

To find : What is the amount of milk required if he wants to add 13 liters of water to it ?

Solution :

A milkman mixes 2 liters of water in 11 liters of milk.

So, the ratio of milk and water is given by

Milk : Water = 11 : 2

For 13 l of water ,

\cfrac{2x}{13}=13

x=\frac{13\times 13}{2}

x=\frac{169}{2}

Now, the amount of milk required if he wants to add 13 liters of water to it is

A=\cfrac{11}{13}\times \cfrac{169}{13}

A=\cfrac{143}{2}

A=71.5\ l

Therefore, the amount of milk required if he wants to add 13 liters of water to it is 71.5 liter.
