▶ Question - A minute hand of clock is 10 m long. Find area swept by min hand between 10 am to 10:35 am.



▶ Given :-


Length of minute hand of clock is 10 cm.



▶ Explanation :-


Time interval between 10 am to 10:35 = 35 minute


Angle described by the minute hand in 60 minutes  =  360°


Angle described by the minute hand in 35 minutes = 360° / 60° × 35


Angle described by the minute hand in 35 minutes = 210°


We know that, Area of sector = θ / 360° × πr^2


= 210 / 360 × 22 / 7 × 10 × 10


= 462000 / 2520


= 183.333 cm^2
