Titanium dioxide, which is made from the minerals ilmenite, rutile and anatase, are present in toothpaste. This gives the toothpaste its white pigment. Sparkles in toothpaste are made possible by the presence of mica, which is found in rocks. Fluoride found in toothpaste is derived from the mineral fluorite.
