In (b) Pneumonia, a minor infection can change into severe disease.

  • Pneumonia is an infectious disease caused mainly due to bacteria. The alveoli get filled with pus and the patient suffers from breathing difficulty. It can become severe and can even be fatal.
  • There is no minor or major case of AIDS. All AIDS patients eventually lose the ability to fight infections and die.
  • Cancer is not an infection. It cannot spread from one person to another.
