1)-

a - b - a² - b²

1(a - b) - {(a+b) (a-b)}

(a - b) { 1 - (a+b)}

(a-b)( 1 - a -b)

2)-

9 - a² +2ab -b²

-1[ -9 +a² -2ab +b²]

-1[ -9 + (a - b)²]

9 - (a -b)²

3² - (a -b)²

[3-(a-b)] [3+(a-b)]

( 3-a +b) ( 3+a -b)

3)-

1 + 2ab - (a²+b²)

-1 [ -1 -2ab +(a²+b²)]

-1 [ -1 -2ab +a²+b²]

-1 [ -1 + (a-b)²]

1 - (a-b)²

1² - (a - b)²

[ 1 + (a -b)] [ 1 - (a -b)]

[ 1 + a -b] [ 1 -a +b]

Factor out a-b(-a-b+1) from -a^2+b^2+a-b

-a^2-ab+a•1+ba+b^2-b•1
