Since the image is larger than the object so the mirror must be concave.
Case 1: Image is real
Magnification m=-2 , let object distance u=-x cm and image distance v is therefore -(x+30) cm . m=-v/u , so x=30 cm. Object should be placed at 30 cm from the mirror.
Case 2: Image is virtual
Magnification m=2 , let object distance u=-x cm and image distance v is therefore +(30-x) cm . m=-v/u , so x=10 cm. Object should be placed at 10 cm from the mirror.
Note: The two concave mirrors are different mirrors.
