Answer:

Area of frame required=2(20*2+15*2) cm²

=2(40+30) cm²

=2*70 cm²

=140 cm²

Cost of framing 1 cm²=₹15

Cost of framing 140 cm²=₹15×140

=₹2100

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer:

(i) The area of frame required is 504 cm².

(ii) Total cost of framing = Rs 12,600.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Length of mirror = 30 cm , width of mirror = 25 cm , frame is 4 cm wide and cost of framing = Rs 25 per cm².

Length of frame = length of mirror + 2(4)

⇒ Length of frame = 30 + 8 = 38 cm

And, breadth of frame = width of mirror + 2(4)

⇒ Breadth of frame = 25 + 8 = 33 cm

⇒ Area of frame = (Total area) - (Area of mirror)

⇒ Area of frame = (38 × 33) - (30 × 25)

⇒ Area of frame = 1254 - 750

⇒ Area of frame = 504 cm²

Also, total cost of framing = 25 × (area of frame)

⇒ Total cost of framing = 25 × 504

⇒ Total cost of framing = Rs 12,600
