a mirror of lengths a mirror of length 30 cm and with 20 cm is to be framed with the 2 cm wide frame find the area of the frame required that also find the cost of framing at rupees 20 per CM square ​

length of the mirror = 30 cm

width of the mirror = 20 cm

width of the frame = 2cm

then

length of the inner mirror after framed =

30- (2+2)

= 30 - 4

= 26 cm

width of the inner mirror after framed =

20-(2+2)

= 20-4

= 16cm

then,

area of the frame = area of the whole

mirror - area of the inner mirror

= LB- lb

= 30× 20 - 26 × 16

= 600 - 416

= 184 cmsq.

cost of framing per cm sq. = Rs.20

cost of framing the mirror = 20 × 184

= Rs. 3680
