A missing helicopter is reported to have crashed somewhere in the rectangular region shown in fig.What is the probability that it crashed inside the lake shown in the figure?

Area  \: of  \: the \:  rectangular  \: region  =( 4.5 \times 9) {km}^{2}  \\   = > 40.5 {km}^{2}

Area  \: of \:  the \:   lake = (4.5 - 2)(9 - 6) \\  =  >  (2.5 \times 3)  {km}^{2}  = \\  =  > 7.5 {km}^{2}

P \: (that  \: it  \: crashed  \: inside  \: the  \: lake) =  \frac{area \: of \: reactangular \: region}{area \: of \: lake}  =  \frac{7.5}{40.5}  \\  =  >   \frac{5}{27}
