Given ratio -

 \frac{5x}{3x}

‎ ‎

‎ ‎

According to the question -

 \frac{5 x+ 16}{3x + 16}   =  \frac{3}{5}

‎ ‎

‎ ‎

‎ ‎

Solution-

 \frac{5x + 16}{3x + 16}  =  \frac{3}{5}  \\  \\  = 5(5x + 16) = 3(3 x+ 16) \\  \\  = 25 x+ 80 = 9x +48 \\  \\  = 25x - 9x =  48 - 80 \\  \\  = 16x = 32 \\  \\  = x = 2

‎ ‎

Required Answer -

5x = 5×2= 10 litres

3x=3×2= 6 litres
