Quantity of A in the mixture = 60 × 2/3 = 40 liters
Quantity of B in the mixture = 60 × 1/3 = 20 liters
Let the quantity of B added to the mixture be x
40/20 + x = 1/2 or x = 60 liters

anonymousgirl27: i guess

Let component A be 2x

Let component B be 1x

2x+1x=60

3x=60

x=20

component A=20×2=40

component B=1×20=20

Let component B added =no

40/20+x=1/2

20+x=80

x=80-20

=60l
