4 litre water added due to which ratio becomes equal ie1:1(let it be this)

Therefore, quantity of milk in mixture is

3x / 2x+4 = 1/1

3x =2x+4

X=4

Therefore for 1 unit is 4

For 3 unit is 12 ie 3x=12

X=4
