Solution :-

Let the quantity of milk and water be 5x and x respectively.

According to the question,

=> 5x/(x + 5) = 5/2

=> 5x × 2 = 5(x + 5)

= 10x = 5x + 25

=> 10x - 5x = 25

=> x = 25/5 = 5

Hence,

Quantity of milk = 5x = 5 × 5 = 25 litres
