A mixture of alcohol and water is homogenous whereas the mixture of oil and water is heterogenious?

Alcohols contain hydrogen bonding.so,they easily dissolve in water and they also contain alkyl group so they also dissolve in non polar solvents like ccl4 etc.., Whereas oil do not have that type of bonds.
