Take 100g of mixture.
12g of O is there for 88g of Cu.
0.75 moles of O is there for 1.38 moles of Cu.
Let no. of Cu+1 moles be x and that of Cu+2 be (1.38-x)
Total charge on the mixture is zero.
Hence, x + 2(1.38-x) - 2(0.75)=0
or, x=1.26
There are 1.26 moles of Cu+1 and 0.12 moles of Cu+2
Mass% of CuO=0.12(63.6+16)=9.552%
Mass % of Cu2O=(1.26x63.6)+(0.63x16)=90.216%
