The only possible reaction is with actylene and the gas coming out is ammonia.

Explanation:

Acetylene reacts with ammonical cuprous chloride to form red precipitates. of copper acetylide while methane and ethylene do not react (since they do not have acidic hydrogen) They come out from the bottle

  • The reaction with acetylene is given below.

CH≡CH +2[Cu(NH3)2]OH ----> Cu−C≡C−Cu + 4NH3 + 2H2O

  • Reaction with methane :

CH4+ Ammonical Cu2Cl2 -------> No reaction

As we can see methane with ammonical cuprous chloride does not give any reaction.

  • Reaction with ethylene:

C2H4+ Ammonical Cu2Cl2  ------> No reaction

Similarly ethylene does not give any reaction with ammonical cuprous chloride.
