mass of solute = 54 g

mass of solution= 100g

mass of solvent = 46g

molar massof solute [C2H5OH]=24+6+16 = 46

molar mass of solvent[H2O]=18

moles of C2H5OH= 54/46

=1.17 mol

moles of H2O = 46/18

= 2.56 mol

moles fraction of C2H5OH= 1.17/1.17+2.56

=1.17/3.73

=0.31
