A mixture of milk and water is kept in a container in the ratio of 14:3.now 51 litres of the mixture is taken out from the container and 5 litres of pure water and 10 litres of pure milk are added to the mixture.id the resultant mixture contains 25 percentage water,then what was the initial mixture in the container?

water = 4.5 litres

After respective additions in the resulting mixture water = 3x - 4.5 +2.5

Quantity of mixture = 17x-25.5+7.5

=(17x-18)litres

According to the question ,

3x−217x−183x−217x−18 = 2010020100 = 1515

=>17x-18 =15x-10

=>17x-15x=18-10

2x=8=>x=4

Initial quantity of the mixture =17x=17X4=68 litres
