A mixture of oxygen and ethyne is burnt for welding. Why a mixture of ethyne and air is not used?

A mixture of ethyne and air is not used because air contains variety of dissolved gases which may affect temperature during welding....

mixture of air and ethyne is not used because it does not contain pure oxygen.
