Given : A mixture of Vodka and Soda in the ratio of 6:3 and another mixture of Vodka and Water in the ratio of 8:6.

The equal quantity of both mixtures is poured into a Jar.

To Find : the quantity of Water per liter in the jar

Solution:

Assume that 126x litre Quantity of Each Mixture is poured

mixture of Vodka and Soda in the ratio of 6:3

=> Vodka = (6/9) 126x  = 84x

Water = (3/9) 126x  = 42x

another mixture of Vodka and Water in the ratio of 8:6.

=> Vodka = ( 8/14) 126x  =72x

Water =  (6/14)126x = 54x

Total Water = 54x litre

Total Mixture = 126x + 126x = 252x  litre

Water per liter =  54x/252x  = 3/14

3/14 liter water  per liter in the jar
