Number of moles (n) = Given mass (m) / Molar mass (M)

As the ratio by weight of Hydrogen and Oxygen is 1:4
Molar ratio will be =  =  =  =

The molar ratio of Hydrogen and Oxygen is 4:1

As we know that, moles (n) =weight (w) with / Molar mass (M)

So, if the ratio of weight of H2 and O2 is in the ratio 1:4, the Molar ratio of the two gases will be :

Moles of O2:4/32

Moles of H2 :1/2

Therefore, moles of H2/moles of O2:

0:5 / 0:125=0.5 x 8= 4:1

Hence the Molar ratio of H2 and O2 is 4:1

Hope its answer will help you
