Given:

Discount = 25%

Profit = 10%

Marked Price = 8800

To Find :

Cost Price of a mobile

Solution:

Finding Discount:

Discount = 25% of Marked Price

Discount = 25%x8800

Discount = 2200

Finding Selling Price:

Selling Price = Marked Price - Discount

Selling Price = 8800 - 2200

Selling Price = 6600

Finding Cost Price:

 =  > CP = \dfrac{100}{100 + Profit\%}  \times SP

 =  >  CP = \dfrac{100}{100 + 10}  \times 6600

 =  > CP = \dfrac{100}{110}  \times 6600

 =  > CP = \dfrac{660000}{110}

 =  > CP = 6000

Hence, the Cost Price of mobile is Rs 6000
