S.P. = ( 100 - LOSS %) / 100 * C.P.

3040 = (100 - 5) / 100 * x. ( Take CP = x)

rest solution is in the image.

Answer:

3200

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, Selling price = 3040, Loss = 5%.

We know that Cost price = [(100/(100 - Loss%)] * Selling price

= [100/(100 - 5)] * 3040

= [100/95] * 3040

= 288800/95

= 3200.

Therefore,Cost price = 3200.

Hope it helps!
