Step-by-step explanation:

   ----------------------------------Here is you Answer Mate--------------------------------

According to the Question,

Marked Price or Tagged Price =  ₹5,000

Discount Percent = 12%

Discount =    5000 * \frac{12}{100}

= 50 * 12 (After Cancellation)

= ₹600

So before finding the VAT we have to first find out the Sale Price or Selling Price.

So,

Selling Price = Marked Price - Discount

=>  5000 - 600

=> ₹4400

Now,

Subtract the price including VAT with the Sale Price.

=> 4972 - 4400

=> ₹572

So, VAT = ₹572

VAT Percent =  \frac{VAT}{Selling Price} * 100

=>  \frac{572}{4400} * 100

=> \frac{572}{44}%

=> 13%
