Let it marked price be x,
Discount = 15%x=(15/100)x,
Marked price =sold price+discount.
=>X=8400+(15/100)X
=>X-(15/100)X=8400.
=>X(1-15/100)=8400.
=>X(85/100)=8400.
=>X=(100/85)8400.
=>X=9882.35
If have doubt, give discount of 15% for a product of price 9882.35, you’ll get 8400.
