A mobile Store ownes sold two mobiles of the
same model, one at a profit of a0%, while the others
at a loss of 5%. If hes get profit is R3 450
then find his purchase price of each.​

Solution:

Let, the cost price for each mobile be Rs. X

Step 1.

For the first mobile, the store gets a profit of 10%.

Then the profit is

= Rs. (X * 10/100)

= Rs. X/10

Step 2.

For the second mobile, the store gets a loss 5%

Then the loss is

= Rs. (X * 5/100)

= Rs. X/20

Step 3.

Therefore, total profit on two mobiles

= Rs. (X/10 - X/20)

= Rs. (2X/20 - X/20)

= Rs. X/20

ATQ,

X/20 = 3450

or, X = 20 * 3450

or, X = 69000

Therefore, the cost price of each mobile is Rs. 69000 .
