Here , the length of the wingspan increases with increasing size of the aircraft - /
Hence , it ' s in direct propertion - /
Here , Ratio of the size of model to the real aircraft = 1 : 25
- Let ' s take ratio of the model as X ¹
- And , ratio of the real aircraft as X ²
Similarly ,
- Let ' s take wing span of the model as Y ¹ .
- Let ' s take wing span of the aircraft as Y ² .
Now , According to the question - /
X ¹ / X ² = Y ¹ / Y ²
or , 1 / 25 = 20 / Y ²
or , 1 = 20 / Y ² × 25
or , 1 = 500 / Y ²
or , Y ² = 1 × 500
or , Y ² = 500 Cm
or , Y ² = 5 Metre
Hence , wingspan of the aircraft is 500 Cm or 5 Metres .
