The Hindustan Motors' Ambassador is slated for a re-release as an electric vehicle. After the American automaker General Motors purchased Hindustan Motors, HM's factories and resources were acquired by the CK Birla Group. Now, the French Automaker, Groupe PSA is coming to India by launching their Citroen brand in India. This is happening with a Joint Venture (JV) with the CK Birla Group. So, essentially, this JV gives Groupe PSA access to the Ambassador platform and name. This means that Groupe PSA is going to produce the Ambassador.
