Monoatomic molecules contain only one atom. Mostly noble gases will have one atom. Polyatomic molecules contain four or many atoms., such as carbonic compounds, ionic compounds etc.

Mixtures are a combination of two or more elements or compounds in undefined proportion. Compounds are a combination of two or more elements in a definite proportion.

A chemical equation is a shorthand representation of a chemical reaction using the reactants and the products which follows the Law of Conservation of Mass. A chemical formula is a shorthand representation of a chemical compound.
