Solution :-
Distance needed to be climbed by the monkey = 10 meter .
Now , Given that a monkey tries to climb 3 meter and slip down 2 meter every time due to the grease is applied on the pole.
So, after 3 meter the monkey comes 2 meter down in 1 attempt
→ Monkey climbs 1 meter in 1 attempt
so, Monkey will climb 7 meter in 7 attempts
And the next attempt, the monkey will reach at 10 meter height.
Therefore,
Attempt taken by monkey to reach 10 meter
= 7 + 1
= 8 attempts
» Distance needed to be climbed by the
monkey = 10 m
A monkey tries to climb 3 m and slip down 2 m every time due to the grease is applied on the pole.
» So, after 3 m the monkey comes 2 m down in 1 attempt
→ Monkey climbs 1 m in 1 attempt
So, monkey will climb 7 m in 7 attempt

10 m height.
Therefore,
Attempt taken by monkey to reach 10m= 7+1 = 8m
