Step-by-step explanation:

The pole is measuring 15m

Every time, the monkey tries to climb 3m and slips down 2m.

Therefore, in every attempt, the monkey climbs (3m - 2m) = 1m In such 12 attempts, the monkey will reach

up to 12m.

Now on the next attempt, the monkey will be able reach (12m +3m) = 15m i.e. at the top of the pole. Which means, there will be no chance of slipping down.

Therefore, the monkey will reach the Top of the pole in (12 + 1) = 13 attempts.
