As per question, we can say that the net displacement or average ft a monkey is climbing in one hour is 1 ft (3ft -2ft)
Net displacement in 1 hour by monkey = 1ft
Total height to be covered = 20ft
In 17 hours monkey will cover the height of 17ft.
And in 18th hour she will climb upto 20ft, which means the objective is achieved
In the question it is asked “ how much time she will take to reach the top ”
Ans. is 18 hours
But If it was asked liked this
“ After how much time the monkey will be at top ”
So, In that case the answer will be 20hours( 1 hour = 1ft )
