Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

the mother's share = x

according to the question,

elder daughter's contribution= 3/8 x

younger daughter's contribution = 1/2 x

now,

x +3x/8 + x/2 = 62000

(8x +3x+4x)/8 = 62000

15x = 496000

x = 496000/15

x  = mother's share= 33067

3/8 x = elder daughter's share = 33067 × 3/8 = 12400

1/2 x = younger daughter's share = 33067/2 = 16533

Hope it helps.... ♥️

Let the mother's contribution =x

As per question elder sister's contribution=3/8 of her mother's contribution=3x/8

Same as younger sister's contribution=x/2

=>x+3x/8+x/2=1,35,000

=>8x+3x+4x/8=1,35,000(by taking the LCM of 8&2)

=>15x=1,35,000×8

=>15x=10,80,000

=>x=10,80,000/15

=72,000

Hence ,the contribution of mother=x=72,000

Elder sister's contribution= 3x/8=3×72,000/8 =27,000

Younger sister's contribution=

x/2=72,000/2=36,000 (Ans)
