let mother's contribution be Rs X.

1st son's contribution is 3X/8 while 2nd son's is 1X/2.

Now total is, X+3X/8+X/2=60000

15X/8=60000

X= 60000x8/15

X = 32000.

1st son's contribution is 12000 while 2ns son's is 16000.

Let the mother's contribution/share be Rs. 'x'.

Hence,

Elder son's contribution = Rs. 3x/8

Elder son's contribution = Rs. 3x/8Younger son's contribution = Rs. x/2

Since, total amount = Rs. 60000

We can say,

x + 3x/8 + x/2 = 60000

(8x + 3x + 4x)/8 = 60000

15x = 8 * 60000

x = (8 * 60000)/15 =>

x = 8 * 4000

x = Rs. 32000

Hence,

Mother's contribution = Rs. 32000

Younger son's contribution = 1/2 * 32000 = Rs. 16000

Elder son's contribution = (3 * 32000)/8 = 3 * 4000 = Rs. 12000
