A mother is 24 years older than her son.After 4years, the age of mother will be three times the age of son. Find the present ages of mother and son

let mother 's age be x
son's agr be y
1st equation:x=3y
2nd :x+11+2=2(y+11)
substituting equation the 1 in 2 ,3y+11=2y+22=11
substituting y=11back in equation 1.x=33
so present mother age =33,
son age =11
