A mother is three times as old as her daughter. However after 12 years she will be only two times the age of her daughter

I think their present ages are 12 and 36 years respectively of the daughter and mother
after 12 yrs the daughter's age is 12+12=24 and mother's36+12=48
so u can see that 12 years ago it was thrice as her age as - 12×3=36and after twelve years it is 24×2=48.
